I love my pencils

so much in fact that I am finally sharpening all of my Bs. The Hs seem better able to take care of themselves.
These are my Derwnet Graphic pencils 9H - 9B graphite. I usually had a 2B in my hand before I bought these but, there is a lot to be said for a light outline in a hard pencil and a soft old 9B when you want some contrast. In fact
I do use the whole range hard to soft at different times, so my usage is better that expected on that front. There are no noticeable small stony bits in the graphite which I have had with other pencils. These have become my pencils of choice now and if I am taking a drawing seriously they are the ones most likely to be there.
Above is an unopened daffodil I did last week using these pencils and some Daler Rowney smooth cartridge paper.
